Racist vandals graffiti Queensland mosque

Cairns mosque graffiti

A mosque in Cairns in far north Queensland has been targeted by vandals. The front of the Cairns North mosque was sprayed with large red letters early yesterday, calling for the worshippers to “integrate” or return to their “homelands”.

Imam Abdul Aziz Mohammed, 81, says he has been involved with the Cairns community for decades and cannot do any more to integrate.

“I’ve lived here in Cairns all my life and this is the first time we’ve ever seen any physical opposition to our religion and basically our family,” he said. “My family’s been here since 1900 and I was shocked, to say the least.”

Hundreds prepare protest against Islam chapter in Florida school textbook

Florida World History textbookVOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Hundreds of people in Volusia County are preparing a protest against a textbook that’s in public schools across Florida.

They believe a world history book dedicates too much material to Islam and doesn’t focus equally on Christianity and other religions. Some protest organizers want students to go home and tear the section on Islam out of their textbooks.

Geller and Spencer ‘reconsider’ their position on Lennon

Lennon, Spencer and Geller in StockholmPamela Geller and Robert Spencer have a record of performing U-turns over former English Defence League leader Stephen Lennon (“Tommy Robinson”), but this is getting ridiculous.

Having initially given an enthusiastic welcome to Lennon’s break from the EDL (see here and here), within a matter of days Geller and Spencer had angrily denounced him for selling his soul to the Quilliam Foundation and demonstratively severed relations with him (see here and here). “It has become painfully obvious that the enemies of freedom have broken Tommy Robinson …”, Geller wrote. “Now he is the poster boy for the stealth jihad.”

“The poster boy for the stealth jihad”! Blimey. After that, I found it difficult to see how relations between Lennon and his two US sponsors could be re-established, at least in the short to medium term. How wrong I was. Geller and Spencer have just published a joint statement (see here and here) announcing that they’ve kissed and made up with “Tommy”.

Muslim Brotherhood ‘uses puppies as firebombs’

Weaponised puppies! Are there are no depths to which these evil Islamists will not sink?

Earlier this week, under the touching headline “Refugee puppies from Egypt looking for homes in U.S.”, CBS New York reported that Robyn Urman of Pet ResQ Inc had revealed the shocking news that “members of the Muslim Brotherhood marching toward Tahrir Square to demand that ousted President Mohamed Morsi be reinstated were using puppies as gas bombs – dipping them in gasoline and lighting them on fire”.

According to CBS: “Urman received a Facebook message from Mervat Said, an animal rescue volunteer in Egypt, who said two puppies, Cleopatra and Cairo, were saved moments before they were to be used as weapons.”

Stephen Lennon still thinks Muslims plan conquest of West

BRITAIN GEERT WILDERS PROTEST“‘Islam-leaning UK politicians openly forecast complete takeover of British politics’ – ex-EDL leader”. That’s the title RT has given its interview with former English Defence League leader Stephen Lennon (“Tommy Robinson”).

In the course of the interview Lennon engages in his usual lies and double-talk. He states piously that it is “a fact that I don’t hate Muslims”. However, he is later asked: “In your hometown, Luton, white Britons are actually an ethnic minority. Could that be soon the same for Europe as a whole?” Lennon’s reply is as follows:

The Times discovers another ‘Muslim patrol’

Yesterday the Metropolitan Police released CCTV footage of an attack on American student Francesco Hounye, which took place last June on Commercial Road in London’s East End. In addition to being kicked and punched, Mr Hounye was hit in the face with a bottle, resulting in permanent scarring.

It was a horrible assault, and hopefully the perpetrators will be identified and charged. However, the cause of the dispute that led to the violence is unclear. The Met can only suggest that Mr Hounye may have been picked on because he was “obviously not local” and had answered back when he was accosted by his attackers.

That hasn’t prevented the Times from publishing a report (see below) implying that the attack was linked to the earlier “Muslim patrol” incidents in the same area, which resulted in three men appearing in court last week. (The headline has since been changed to “US student attacked by Asian gang in London”.)

New Zealand: Woman fined for abuse of Muslim student wearing veil

A foreign student had nightmares after a shopper in a Dunedin supermarket told her to either take off her burqa or leave New Zealand.

Farm worker Yuet Rappard appeared before justices of the peace in the Dunedin District Court yesterday and was found guilty of offensive behaviour and fined $500 for telling a student to remove her burqa on May 17.

Rappard, representing herself, did not dispute that she told a University of Otago student to take off her burqa at Gardens New World, but told the court she was expressing her freedom of speech. “I said, ‘Shame on you, you should take it off. When in Rome you should do as the Romans do’.”

Rappard, who moved to New Zealand from the Netherlands when she was a child, believed burqas should be banned and felt “intimidated” when she saw people wearing them.

The student, whose identity was suppressed, said being shouted at, first when she was at the checkout and then a few minutes later outside the supermarket, left her shaken. “I was crying and shocked. I just felt lonely and scared,” she told the court. She had since had nightmares and the incident had affected her studies.
