German princess ranted about killing Muslims at St Andrews beer festival

Theodora Sayn-Wittgenstein hiding from photographersA German princess hurled abuse about killing Muslims after drunkenly trying to strip off at a St Andrews beer festival, a court heard.

Her Serene Majesty Theodora Sayn-Wittgenstein – known to friends as Thedi – struggled with police at the Oktoberfest charity event on Kinkell Farm in March, thinking she was being kidnapped. The 27-year-old – who attempted to disguise herself from waiting journalists at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday by wearing a wig – was fined a total of £1,000 after admitting four charges.

The court was told Sayn-Wittgenstein had graduated in 2011 from St Andrews University and had returned to the town for a reunion weekend. Security guard Damon Creevy saw the accused at 11.30pm climbing railings at the event, while shouting and removing some of her clothing. When he asked her to replace her clothing and climb down, she refused. She eventually calmed down and was taken to the nearby first aid room.

Fiscal depute Trina Sinclair said: “A security guard, assisted by a first aider, Farah Hussain, tried to replace some of the accused’s clothing. The accused became aggressive and stated ‘I was doing my nails this morning, I was wondering how many Muslims I could kill’.” Miss Hussain left the room in tears, while Sayn-Wittgenstein stood on a chair and began to shout about her human rights.

Spite club: Race-hate group who target Muslims organise street fighting sessions to train recruits

A far-right group led by a notorious Scots rabble-rouser are promoting sinister “fight clubs” for their followers. And anti-racism activists claim Jim Dowson’s Britain First organisation are training boot boys to fight Muslims on the streets.

Mathew Collins of Hope Not Hate said: “They have been booking mixed martial arts gyms so they can fight among themselves, training for confrontations with Muslims.” Vicky Burns of Show Racism the Red Card Scotland added: “Britain First’s brand of racism and prejudice simply is not welcome here.”

Britain First have used a series of Facebook posts to attract recruits for fight training. One ad says: “Things are bad and will only get worse. Don’t you think it’s time to learn how to protect the ones you love – and yourself?” It adds that the fight clubs – apparently named after Brad Pitt’s 1999 film – will be rolled out UK-wide and free of charge.

Another ad says of the plan: “We feel this is a vital part of building a real movement for the future struggle to take back our country.”

Dowson’s rag-tag mob of former BNP members have already targeted Muslims in Scotland and beyond. They swaggered into mosques in Glasgow, Cumbernauld and several English cities, handing out Army Bibles to worshippers and telling them to stop Muslim men grooming young girls for sex. The invaders claimed to be carrying out a “Christian crusade”.

Britain First have also staged “Christian Patrols” in London, with supporters in military style fatigues marching through Asian areas waving Union flags.

Police called to hate event at Minnesota school after ‘mob’ harasses Muslim woman

Usama DakdokThe Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) today called on the Bagley Independent School District #162 to rescind approval of tonight’s speech by Islamophobe Usama Dakdok following harassment of a Muslim woman by a “mob” at his earlier speaking event at the same school on Sunday.

CAIR-MN also called on local and state law enforcement authorities to consider bias charges against the harassers based on that state’s “assaults motivated by bias” statute.

Dakdok, who claims that American Muslims “will kill your children” and that “we are in war with Islam,” was invited to speak at Bagley High School by local Islamophobe Tammy Godwin. On June 22, during the second part of his three-day hate series, audience members said Dakdok incited the audience and endangered a Muslim woman attendee’s safety and security.

The audience members said the Muslim woman, who wears a religious headscarf, was part of a peaceful protest outside the hate event. She, along with others, entered the auditorium after the silent protest finished to listen to the speech. Their “Love Thy Neighbor” signs were lowered and not facing anyone inside. As the Muslim woman was quietly walking down the aisle looking for a seat, Dakdok stopped his presentation and singled her out. He asked her to leave, allegedly yelling, “Sister, I will give you one last chance to leave or I will throw you out myself!”

One attendee described an angry mob of Dakdok supporters who then began harassing the Muslim woman: “People were yelling at the Muslim woman, ‘Get out’ and ‘You weren’t invited.’ Men were getting to their feet and moving towards her to lay hands on her.”

The audience member announced he was calling the police out of concern for the Muslim woman’s safety. Godwin allegedly tried to interfere with the police call by attempting to intimidate the Good Samaritan by telling him, “Don’t you dare [call the police]. This will be on your soul.”

Three officers responded to the call, including the Bagley police chief, a Bagley police officer and a Sheriff’s Deputy. The Muslim woman was allowed to stay and an officer stayed at the event until it ended. One member of the angry mob, seemingly upset with Muslim presence, later approached the officer and asked: “Can I borrow your gun?”

Woman killed in attack may have been targeted because of Muslim dress, say police

A woman who died after being attacked on a footpath may have been targeted because of her Muslim dress, police have said.

The woman, who was in her early 30s, was walking on the Salary Brook trail in Colchester when the incident happened at 10.40am on Tuesday. Paramedics tried to save her but she died at the scene from head and body injuries.

Essex police confirmed she was wearing a dark navy blue abaya, or full-length robe, and a patterned multicoloured hijab headscarf.

A 52-year-old man from the Colchester area was arrested on Tuesday night in connection with the incident. DS Tracy Hawkings said officers were keeping an open mind about the motive of the attack.

However, she added: “We are conscious that the dress of the victim will have identified her as likely being a Muslim, and this is one of the main lines of the investigation. But, again, there is no firm evidence at this time that she was targeted because of her religion.”

Nihad Awad, national executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations

A Queens man, awaiting trial for attempted murder at a mosque in 2012, was arrested on charges of threatening to kill leaders of a leading Muslim civil rights organization.

The FBI arrested Bernhard Laufer Saturday for allegedly sending death threat emails to the Council on American-Islamic Relations. In one email, he warned that he will “stop at nothing to kill you, your body guards, and anybody else that is around you,” according to officials.

Laufer is expected to be arraigned in federal court in Brooklyn Monday afternoon. Laufer, 57, of Rego Park, in one email allegedly refers to himself as “that mad man.”

His arrest by the FBI comes after police charged him in November 2012 for trying to stab a man at the Masjid Al-Saalliheen Mosque in Kew Gardens as he allegedly yelled “I will kill you Muslim.” He pleaded not guilty and has been out on $200,000 bail awaiting trial on charges of attempted murder as a hate crime.

Man forces his way into home, terrorizes family from Iraq

Seham JaberALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A woman may have been the victim of a hate crime. Police said the woman is from Iraq, and the man who beat her did because he thought she was a Muslim. She is actually Catholic.

The man forced his way into her family’s apartment off Montgomery Boulevard. Investigators said he punched the woman in the face while screaming, “I hate Muslims.” He then stole cash and gold from the home, and ripped the family’s citizenship papers into pieces.

Police think the man targeted the family. “This is a family that fled Iraq in 2007 because of religious persecution. This family is not Muslim. They’re Catholic and they fled because they were being tormented in their own county,” Officer Simon Drobik said.

The woman did not get a clear description of the man. Police think he may belong to an extremist group.

Virginia: Muslim community disappointed with charges after man assaulted on train

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WJLA) — Leaders in the local Muslim community say the punishment for the suspect accused of committing a hate-filled assault against another man on a VRE train in Fairfax County isn’t tough enough. The assault happened on a VRE train on May 20. The alleged attacker has been arrested and charged, but leaders say they aren’t satisfied.

The victim, a Muslim man, was headed home from his government job when the alleged assailant, 58-year-old Patrick Sullivan of Woodbridge, who also works for the government, became enraged that the victim was talking on the phone to his wife in his native language of Bengali.

Police say Sullivan began shouting and cursing, telling the man to speak English. That wasn’t the worst of it, though – according to the police report, the suspect struck the man in the head and threatened to throw him off the train, and even suggested to the conductor who tried to intervene that maybe the victim had a bomb, since he was Muslim.

Thug who smashed elderly Muslim man’s skull in Uxbridge racist attack has sentence cut

Fraser GilesAn Uxbridge teenager who booted a 79-year-old pensioner in the head – shattering his skull – during a racist attack has had his sentence slashed on appeal.

Fraser Danny Giles, 18, punched and kicked the elderly man, launching into the brutal assault in Chiltern View Road, Uxbridge, after asking the blameless grandfather in traditional Muslim dress if he was a ‘white Muslim’.

Giles, who address was given as Enfield Close, was handed eight years’ detention in a young offenders’ institution, after he admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent at Isleworth Crown Court in December. But three senior judges at London’s Appeal Court have now upheld a sentence challenge by Giles, reducing his custodial term by a quarter to six years after ruling his original punishment excessive.
