A racist thug ripped off a Muslim woman’s veil in a drug-fuelled rage after the films he wanted to see were not showing at the cinema.

Police at Paris airport bar three Saudi women wearing face veil from entering France, citing ban
A police union says three Saudi women who refused to remove their face veils at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport have been barred entry to France.
A 2011 French law bans people from wearing Islamic face-covering veils anywhere in public.
An official with the SGP-FO police union said Tuesday that border police asked the women to remove their veils after they arrived Monday on a flight from Doha, Qatar. The official says the women refused, border police refused them entry in France, and they returned to Doha Monday night.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly for the police.
Minnesota: Tea Party candidate for state rep. compares Muslim women to garbage bags
Tea Party candidate for state representative Cindy Pugh uses her Facebook profile to defend Scott Walker, criticize Barack Obama, and boast about her ongoing campaign to defeat incumbent state Rep. Steve Smith, a Republican from Mound.
But she also used it recently to compare Muslim women and children clad in traditional Islamic garb to garbage bags.
Pugh shared the above photo on May 21 with the following commentary: “Disturbing … that women & little girls are OK with dressing like this!!! What will it take for these women to stand up and say, ‘NO’!? Wondering if they will ever do that?!”
The photo was originally uploaded by “Proud to be an Infidel,” a Muslim-bashing page with the following slogan: “It’s not Islamophobia when they are really trying to kill you.”
Vlaams Belang offers ‘burqa bounty’
‘Wanted!’ Vlaams Belang video offers reward for shopping veiled women to police
Belgian right-wingers have offered to pay a 250 euros ($310) bounty to anyone who reports a veiled woman to police, they said on Tuesday, in the wake of face veil riots in Brussels.
Filip Dewinter, a senior figure within Vlaams Belang, a right-wing party, told Reuters the riots had made police apprehensive about enforcing the burqa ban and that the payment should put pressure on authorities to further enforce it. “It’s a textile prison for the women who have to live under it,” he said.
Braintree: Bus company investigates racism claim
A Muslim woman claims she was not allowed on to a bus because she was wearing a head scarf.
Mel Walker, 31, alleges she was prevented from boarding the number 70 bus from Braintree High Street at 1.30pm on Friday, despite arriving in plenty of time for the service and seats being available.
It was the first time Ms Walker of Brickbarns in Great Leighs had worn a headscarf in public and believes she was the victim of a racist incident.
First Bus say they are aware of the incident and have launched a full investigation.

Veil ban could go ahead in Netherlands after MPs declare it ‘non-controversial’
The proposed “burkha ban” in the Netherlands could go ahead before September’s election after MPs declared the proposal was not politically controversial.
It had been thought that any legislation would be delayed following the collapse of Mark Rutte’s cabinet last month. Since then the country has been run by a “demissionary” or caretaker government. Interim governments are limited by law to policy areas that are deemed non-controversial by a majority of members of Parliament.
New York: Sikh and Muslim transport workers win right to religious head coverings
Muslim and Sikh transit workers will be allowed to wear religious head coverings while on the job under a settlement with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced on Wednesday. The agreement ended a winding legal case propelled by the Sept. 11 attacks.
The authority faced a series of lawsuits, including one from the United States Justice Department, in the years that followed the attack; the suits claimed that the authority was selectively enforcing policies on head coverings worn by Muslim and Sikh employees and that it had transferred workers to nonpublic positions if they refused to remove the coverings or attach the authority’s logos to them.
Under the new policy, any religious headgear will be permitted as long as it is blue, the color of the authority’s logo, said Adam Lisberg, the authority’s chief spokesman.
Bill protecting religious garb passes California Assembly
A bill that would protect the rights of workers who wear religious-oriented clothing at work was overwhelmingly passed by the California Assembly on Tuesday, May 28. AB 1964 now goes to the State Senate, where its proponents hope it will pass before the Legislature adjourns at the end of August. Then it would go to Gov. Jerry Brown for his signature.
The bill, dubbed the Workplace Religious Freedom Act of 2012, essentially would not break new ground but would clarify the federal Fair Employment and Housing Act, said Rachel Linn, spokeswoman for Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada, D-Davis, author of the measure.
